Job Role Summary
Support development of healthy
SSH&E/OIMS Leadership and Culture
Support E&PS Manager
Support the Building Operations, Fleet Services, Real Estate & Construction projects and activities.
Provide insights designed to maintain license to operate and support OIMS continuous improvement initiatives.
Support fit-for-risk SSH&E and OIMS project planning and execution.
SME for operations and construction risk identification and management.
Liaison with Corporate SMEs and business unit for additional SSH&E and OIMS risks.
Administer XTO Energy Headquarters
Business Continuity Plan and Emergency Response Plans.
Job Role Responsibilities
Support E&PS Manager and Staff
Provide timely and effective communication of emerging issues.
Identify program mandates and implementation of programs.
Support E&PS in SSH&E and OIMS effectiveness.
Consult with E&PS Manager on strategic direction, expectations and initiatives
Keep focus on OIMS expectations (fit for risk approach vs. checklists)
Develop insights to support fit-for-risk regional action plans.
Engage Corporate SSH&E SMEs as needed for regional or project specific risks.
Support roll-out of new initiatives; ensure long term effectiveness of new initiatives or programs.
Develop communications designed to improve performance or address higher risk incident potential.
Plan field visits to deliver highest value, report insights and actions to E&PS Manager and staff.
Supports effective project planning and execution.
Support development of project specific safety plans(e.g., early engagement, hurt free execution, finish strong programs)
Provide guidance regarding risks and mitigation strategies in areas where Advisor has subject matter expertise.
Engage SMEs from other BLs or groups in areas beyond Advisor’s expertise.
Share pertinent lessons learned
Support oversight of field activities when value added to the region or project.
In collaboration with E&PS Project Managers, interface with contractors and subcontractors in job site safety
Monitor and analyze SSH&E performance
Support E&PS’s development of high value learnings designed to prevent higher potential incidents.
Supports stewardship of OIMS and SSH&E programs effectiveness
Supports and participates in the monthly regional stewardship meetings.
Incident care management and investigation
Support E&PS incident management, investigation, and reporting processes
Support continuous improvement of OI / SSH&E Programs.
Develop insights through participating in assessment and verification processes
Support sustainable, risk prioritized OI improvement plans.
Skills, Experience, Business Accomplishments, and Needs of the Position
Relevant industry SSH&E experience, with 5+ years relevant experience and proven leadership roles; or,
Primary or advanced degrees in SSH&E, with 5 years relevant experience and proven leadership roles.
Subject Matter Expertise in areas related to client’s business needs (construction risk management, emergency response planning and incident command systems, working in frontier locations)
Strong understanding of Corporate SSH&E intent and guidelines.
Strong understanding of SSH&E strategies and management systems (OIMS)
Strong understanding of Behavior-Based Safety strategies and programs.
Ability to train others at all levels within and outside the Company.
Willingness to travel up to 50%, including to frontier locations.
Must have strong interpersonal, problem solving, leadership and decision-making skills
Must provide concise oral and written communications.
Must be a self-starter and have good organizational and time management skills to meet multi-task demands.
Must be able to influence without authority
