OSHA Renews Emphasis Programs in the Northeast

Chemical Safety Board Recommends Amendment of OSHA Process Safety Management Of Highly Hazardous Chemicals

Boston — OSHA’s Boston regional office recently renewed some of its Regional Emphasis Programs.

They are:

  • Residential construction
  • Cranes in construction
  • Noise in the workplace
  • Powered industrial trucks

The REPs were renewed for five years beginning Oct. 1. Only one of the REP directives contains “significant changes”: residential construction. That REP has an updated NAICS code description and no longer has a section on “tracking database.”
