Job Description:
The HSE Officer will be responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management systems. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and will work closely with all departments to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
- Review existing policies and measures and update them according to legislation.
- Initiate and organize HSE training for employees.
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity.
- Investigate incidents and accidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HSE Officer, preferably in [Insert Industry].
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal HSE regulations.
- Certified in HSE Management Systems (NEBOSH, OSHA).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE software.
