Senior Process Engineer Australia | APPLY

Wood (formerly Amec Foster Wheeler) is seeking applications from experienced Senior Process Engineers with a background in hydrometallurgy for our growing Mining and Minerals office.

The successful candidate will join a high calibre process team with world-renowned experience in a number of commodities and across a number of technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best practice process designs in accordance with project, time, budget and technical requirements
• Develop innovative solutions to complex process and technical problems for a wide range of commodities
• Prepare process engineering deliverables and technical documentation
• Plan, execute and analyse metallurgical testwork programs
• Actively participate in HAZOP studies and design reviews
• Engage in business development activities and the preparation of proposal documentation
• Undertake site visits to support study and project work requirements

• A degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or other related field from a recognised institution
• A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in the mining industry including hydrometallurgical plant operation
• In-depth experience in hydrometallurgical plant design is essential
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong analytical, literacy and numerical skills
• Well-developed computer skills with a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and engineering programs
• Experience with metallurgical balancing and simulation software such as METSIM and/or SysCAD would be highly regarded
