Position Overview

The Senior HSE Trainer will play an integral role in designing and delivering world-class training programs focused on Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, Risk Management, and Emergency Preparedness. You will work closely with trainees from diverse industrial backgrounds, helping them gain the essential skills required to work safely, comply with regulatory expectations, and manage workplace hazards effectively.

This position requires someone with deep industry experience, outstanding instructional abilities, and documented success in delivering high-impact training sessions.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of training and safety-related duties, including:

1. Training Development and Delivery

  • Designing, developing, and delivering structured training programs in Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, and related subjects.

  • Conducting instructor-led classroom training, interactive workshops, simulations, and hands-on practical sessions.

  • Ensuring training programs meet local regulatory requirements, TVTC standards, and international best practices such as OSHA, NEBOSH, and NSC.

  • Evaluating training effectiveness through quizzes, assessments, trainee observations, and feedback mechanisms.

2. Risk Management and Technical Expertise

  • Conducting comprehensive risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analysis (JSA) during training demonstrations and scenario-based exercises.

  • Delivering lectures and practical guidance on topics such as risk analysis methods, control measures, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.

  • Guiding trainees through qualitative and quantitative risk communication, ensuring they understand how to interpret, report, and communicate risks effectively in their workplaces.

  • Supporting organizations in building stronger emergency response capabilities by explaining real-world emergency scenarios, response strategies, and preventive controls.

3. Instructional Materials and Documentation

  • Preparing high-quality training materials, course outlines, PowerPoint presentations, manuals, and reports using Microsoft Office applications.

  • Updating training content regularly to align with new regulatory changes, global safety standards, and industry innovations.

  • Maintaining accurate records of attendance, trainee performance, assessments, and certification documentation.

4. Leadership, Facilitation, and Communication

  • Facilitating learning in a highly engaging and professional manner, ensuring trainees remain motivated and actively involved.

  • Demonstrating excellent classroom management, interpersonal skills, and the ability to teach diverse groups of professionals.

  • Providing mentorship and constructive feedback to trainees, enhancing their competency, and ensuring positive learning outcomes.

  • Delivering training effectively in both English and Arabic (preferred), ensuring clear communication for multinational and local participants.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this prestigious role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Educational Background

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Safety or a relevant Engineering discipline.

  • Advanced qualifications in Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, or Industrial Risk Management will be considered an added advantage.

2. Professional Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience delivering Industrial Safety and Occupational Health training programs.

  • Field experience alone will not be accepted—this role requires proven training experience with documented facilitation responsibilities.

  • Solid experience in Risk Analysis, Emergency Response Programs, Risk Assessment, and Risk Communication (both qualitative and quantitative).

  • Experience working in high-risk sectors such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Manufacturing, or Construction is highly desirable.

3. Professional Certifications

Candidates must hold one or more of the following certifications:

  • Accreditation from TVTC (Technical and Vocational Training Corporation)
    OR
    All required qualifications are necessary for obtaining immediate accreditation.

  • Certified Trainer from NEBOSH
    OR
    Certified Trainer from NSC (National Safety Council)

Additional preferred certifications:

  • Training of Trainers (TOT) certificate

  • Any additional safety certifications, such as NEBOSH IGC, OSHA certifications, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent credentials, will strengthen your application.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (spoken and written). The ability to conduct training in both Arabic and English is a strong advantage.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—Excel, Word, PowerPoint—is essential for preparing training material and documentation.

  • Instructional Skills: Strong presentation abilities, effective communication, excellent classroom facilitation, and the ability to simplify complex technical topics.

  • Professional Qualities: Demonstrated leadership, strong work ethic, adaptability, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
