Safety Manager – Decatur Corn Plant
Decatur Corn Plant, Decatur, IL
This is a full time, exempt position.
The Safety Manager is responsible for oversight of the overall safety performance and compliance obligations of the Decatur Corn Processing facility. The position develops and executes safety training programs and drives ADM safety initiatives throughout the facility. The position will also leverage performance excellence principles to drive continuous improvement in safety throughout the plant.

Actively champion and promote all safety related policies and programs to ensure colleague engagement and commitment to the benefits of working safe.
Ensure that the location is in constant compliance with all ADM and federal regulations, policies and guidelines.
Assist in the review of safety incidents and participate in investigations, development and management of action items.
Oversee third party and regulatory safety audits.
Ensure that corrective action plans are implemented so that all deficiencies identified by an audit are completed in a timely manner.
Sponsor areas in the plant to initiate, execute and complete safety pillar milestones that translate into improvements for the facility.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Safety or other applicable field.
Prior experience in an environmental, health, and safety role preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
Must exhibit high levels of professionalism, integrity and discretion.
Excellent organization/planning and problem solving skills.
Excellent teamwork and conflict resolution
