Where you’ll work…

In 2011, Veolia relocated its offices in Wolverhampton, Brownhills and Walsall to one location at the Kingswood Lakeside site in Cannock, Staffordshire.

The move provided environmentally friendly, modern, comfortable, efficient office accommodation for all of our employees, under one roof, helping to improve cross functional working and communication across all departments.

The offices include environmental technologies including; roof mounted solar panels which provides the domestic hot water, a rainwater collection system which is used to flush toilets and light sensors which ensures that the lights are only activated when the office is occupied.


What you’ll do:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a QHS Advisor to join the Veolia team to provide professional advice and support on all Health and Safety matters to all levels of employees within the business in order to meet legal responsibilities and to promote best practice.

As part of this integral role, you will assist in setting operational team safety objectives and assisting operational teams in achieving the Company QHS (Quality, Health and Safety) objectives, alongside,  monitoring compliance in line with Health Safety, environmental legislation and BMS procedures.

Externally, where appropriate, you will help deal with regulatory authorities/auditors/customers wherever the need arises for such things as regulatory auditing, HSE compliance issues, customer auditing or technical support.

You will also carry out training needs analysis and implement and design training programmes. This includes developing site-specific competencies for managers and operatives and the provision of training in specialist areas.


About your Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications…

To be successful in your application for this role, we require you to have achieved, or working towards, NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) Diploma or equivalent. General experience within health and safety or waste management is considered beneficial. Good communication, negotiation and influencing skills are all essential.
Candidates must possess knowledge of change management, strategy and compliance management alongside possessing knowledge of management systems and their functionality​​
