1. B.Sc. Occupational Health And Safety Degree Requirements (Middlesex University London)
- Applicants will require equivalent level 4 and 5 learning in an aligned technical (e.g. engineering, construction, operational management) or risk management (e.g. inspection, environmental health, healthcare nursing, organizational risk management) area obtained through existing study e.g. BSc student who has completed year one and two of another degree course, Cert HE OHS Enforcement, Diploma in Nursing or other Professional Diploma.
- Applicants will also be considered who have the NEBOSH General or International Certificate at NVQ3 with appropriate and relevant experience.
- Applicants may also have appropriate experience that can be recognized at level 5. Recognition and accreditation of learning (RAL) is available for those students who do not have evidence of level 4 or 5 learning but can demonstrate equivalent learning through other professional or work-based activities and produce evidence of that work along with a persuasive statement of how the work has contributed to the student’s understanding of health and safety practice.
- Applicants will also need GCSE English at grade C or above
2. M.SC Occupational Health And Safety Degree Requirements (University Of Hull)
- Either a science or management-based bachelor’s degree (2:2) or international equivalent, or at least one of the following:
- NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Management
- NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Management or equivalent
- A professional qualification in health and safety management that satisfies the criteria for GradIOSH membership of the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety. Examples include the NCRQ Level 6 Diploma in Applied Health and Safety, the City and Guilds National and Scottish Vocational Qualifications Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice, and The British Safety Council Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health. - Practitioner membership (PIEMA) of the Institution of Environmental Management and Assessment or higher.
3. Middlesex University London Entry Requirement for M.SC Occupational Health And Safety Degree

Requirement for PGD Admission
For admission into PGD, Candidates who possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) less than 3.00 out of 5.00 will be considered. Also, candidates who possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized Polytechnic or Institute will be considered
Requirement for M.Sc. Admission
For admission into M.Sc. Occupational Health and Safety, or M.Sc. For environment and Safety (both full and part-time) programs, candidates must possess a 2nd class (Upper Division) Honors Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering. Industry/Company workers with a minimum of 3 years cognate experience who possess a 2nd class (Lower Division) Honors degree (with a Cumulative Grade Point Average, CGPA of 3.0 or better) will also be admitted.
Requirement for Ph.D Admission
The requirement for Ph.D. admission (Part-time and full-time) is an M.Sc. degree with a minimum CGPA of 4.00 out of 5.00 in OHS or ETM.
