Lead, ISBL Health and Safety Aromatics Job in Houston, TX

Position Overview:

Maintain compliance with Health and Safety requirements.

Responsibilities:
Support Production Teams as a Health & Safety Representative.

Communicate incident information, trends, compliance assurance issues to their respective Production Teams.

Conduct regular compliance checks in their area of responsibility.

Distribute Unit HSE Documentation material and assist Production Teams with documentation compliance.

Support incident and Near Miss investigations in their areas of responsibility

Conduct Hazard Assessments

Participate on Joint Health & Safety

Committee Audits

Participate in MOCs, PHAs, PSSRs, PHCRs, etc., in their area of responsibility.

Assist Production Teams with Health and Safety questions.

Follow-up on all incidents with field visits and support investigations. Assist with Safety Flashes for incidents in their area.

Participate in PUM Huddle meetings

Participate in Production Team Meetings

Participate in safety meetings and Safety

Stand-downs in their areas of responsibility

Drive implementation of H&S policies and procedures.

Provide H&S coverage during Turnarounds

Act as resource for Operations employees in general safety questions.

Provide consistent interpretations for Life Saving Rules.

Teach and mentor production personnel in hazard recognition/mitigation.

Teach and mentor production personnel in positive safety intervention techniques.

Perform Health and Safety Health Checks

Participate in MOCs, PHAs, PSSRs, PHCRs, etc., in their area of responsibility.

Assist Production Teams with Health and Safety questions.

Follow-up on all incidents with field visits and support investigations. Assist with Safety.

Flashes for incidents in their area

Teach and mentor production personnel in hazard recognition/mitigation.

Teach and mentor production personnel in positive safety intervention techniques.

Perform Health and Safety Health Checks

Experience and Qualifications Required:

Basic Qualifications:

Experienced Safety Professional

5 Years on owner staff mega (>$1 BILLION) project experience with >1000 construction staffing.

10 Years’ experience in chemicals and refineries

Preferred Qualifications:

Safety leader within refineries and chemical plants.
