As part of our ongoing commitment to protecting people, assets, and the environment, we are seeking a competent and motivated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Engineer to join our team immediately. This role is critical to maintaining a strong safety culture, preventing incidents, and ensuring compliance with UAE regulatory requirements and international best practices.

Position Overview: HSE Engineer

The HSE Engineer will play a hands-on role in implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and management teams to identify hazards, control risks, and ensure that all activities are carried out safely and responsibly.

This position is ideal for an HSE professional who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced industrial environment while maintaining high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

As an HSE Engineer at Anglo Eastern Industries FZE, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

Health & Safety Management

  • Implement and maintain company HSE policies, procedures, and safe systems of work in line with UAE laws and international standards.

  • Ensure daily site safety compliance through regular inspections, audits, and monitoring activities.

  • Identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and ensure effective control measures are implemented and maintained.

  • Promote a strong safety culture by encouraging safe behaviors and proactive hazard reporting among employees and contractors.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations, client requirements, and company standards.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local HSE legislation and industry best practices.

  • Support inspections and audits conducted by regulatory authorities or third-party auditors.

Incident Management

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.

  • Prepare detailed incident investigation reports, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action plans.

  • Track and follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely closure and effectiveness.

Training & Awareness

  • Conduct HSE inductions for new employees, visitors, and contractors.

  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and HSE awareness sessions regularly.

  • Support the development of a competent workforce by identifying training needs and assisting with HSE training programs.

Environmental Management

  • Monitor environmental aspects and impacts of operations, including waste management, emissions, and resource usage.

  • Ensure proper implementation of environmental controls and compliance with environmental regulations.

  • Promote environmentally responsible practices across all departments.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate HSE records, including risk assessments, permits, inspection checklists, and training logs.

  • Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to management, highlighting performance trends, key risks, and improvement opportunities.

  • Support management in setting HSE objectives and monitoring performance against agreed targets.

Emergency Preparedness

  • Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.

  • Participate in emergency drills and exercises, ensuring readiness and effectiveness.

  • Actively support emergency response activities when required.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Visa Status

  • Candidates must be on a Cancelled Visa or Visit Visa and available for immediate joining.

Education & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

  • Recognized HSE certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • Proven relevant experience in the HSE field, preferably within industrial, manufacturing, construction, or engineering environments.

  • Hands-on experience in site safety supervision, risk assessment, and incident investigation.

  • Familiarity with HSE management systems and practical application on active sites.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of workplace hazards and risk control measures.

  • Ability to communicate safety requirements clearly to workers, supervisors, and management.

  • Good report writing and documentation skills.

  • Strong observational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.

Salary & Benefits
