My client, a major Shipping company, are looking for an experienced HSE Superintendent to join their operations in Qatar.

Job Purpose:
that QHSSE standards on assigned offshore vessels are monitored, maintained and improved.

This will also include training, mentoring and assisting the vessel’s management and crew in meeting company and industry standards, as well as regulatory and customer requirements.

The incumbent will carry out internal audits, arrange external audits, carryout crew appraisals, and shall ensure continuous improvement in vessel condition and compliance.

Key Job Accountabilities:

o Carry out vessel visits, sailing for approximately one week on each vessel per month or as required by clients, operations or internal issues

o To monitor effectiveness and ensure compliance where appropriate with the Company procedures and Policies in accordance with the requirements of the ISM Code.

o To monitor the implementation of Company’s Safety, Environmental, Drug and Alcohol Policy.

o To assist in the investigation of incidents and follow up for effective corrective and preventive actions.

o Conduct emergency drills / trainings for assigned vessels. Review results with Master/ Safety officer and compile reports for Management, proposing amendments to training schedules to meet specific needs.

” Essential – Chief Mates unlimited CoC or Equivalent.
” Desired- ISM/ISPS Internal auditor courses
” Train the Trainer,
” Incident Investigation,
” Risk Assessment
” Root Cause Analysis
” 10 years offshore experience, working on PSV, DSV and AHTV.
