Role Overview
The HSE / Quality professional will provide administrative and coordination support to the wider QHSSE function. While this is not a field-heavy role, it plays a critical part in maintaining system integrity, ensuring records are accurate, training is tracked, and compliance requirements are met.
You will support activities related to:

Training and competence management

Employee inductions and onboarding

HSE and Quality documentation control

QHSSE compliance support

Incident administration (where applicable)
This role offers strong exposure to Oil & Gas HSE systems, making it an excellent stepping stone for future roles such as HSE Officer, HSE Advisor, Quality Coordinator, or QHSE Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Training and Competence Management

Maintain and update the training matrix, ensuring all personnel training requirements are accurately recorded.

Coordinate training course bookings, liaising with training providers and internal stakeholders.

Track training expiry dates and notify relevant personnel of upcoming renewals.

Ensure training records are complete, current, and auditable.
Inductions and Onboarding Support

Manage employee and contractor induction records, ensuring all onboarding requirements are completed before site access.

Support the onboarding process by ensuring documentation is collected, filed, and stored correctly.

Maintain accurate records of completed inductions in line with company and client requirements.
Competence Records and Documentation Control
-
Update and control competence records, certifications, and qualifications.
-
Support document control processes for HSE and Quality documentation.

Ensure records are stored in line with internal procedures and industry best practice.

Assist with document version control and distribution.
QHSSE Compliance Support

Provide administrative support to QHSSE compliance activities.

Assist with preparation for internal or external audits by ensuring records are complete and accessible.

Support the implementation and monitoring of HSE and Quality management systems.

Help track corrective actions and follow-up items arising from audits or inspections.
Incident Administration (as applicable)

Support the administration of incident and near-miss records, where required.

Assist with data entry, report tracking, and documentation control.

Ensure incident records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
General Support Duties

Liaise with internal departments to support QHSSE-related activities.

Provide general administrative assistance to the HSE / Quality team.

Maintain a professional, organised, and compliant working environment.
Required Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Essential Requirements

Diploma in HSE, Occupational Safety, Business Management, or a related field

6 months to 1 year of experience in an HSE and/or Quality role
-
Previous exposure to Oil & Gas, energy, construction, manufacturing, or related industries is preferred
-
Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
-
Basic understanding of HSE and/or Quality systems
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
