HSE/PROCESS SAFETY ENGINEER – CONTRACT – KAZAKHSTAN

Our Client, a Major international Oil and Gas Contractor, is seeking an HSE/Process Safety Engineer to join their team working in Kazakhstan.
Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
4+ years experience in the oil and gas sector within production / construction projects or operations.
4+ years experience within HSE.
Must have experience of HAZID, HAZOP, SIL plus What if and LOPA.
Must have experience of QRA, Safety Case, EERA, FERA and Fire & Gas Detection Mapping.
Must have experience of SCE.
Main Scope of Work:
HAZID, HAZOP, SIL (assessment & verification), What if, LOPA, etc and related reports and follow-ups;
Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) – coordinating the development of the QRA ad safety assessment studies;
Safety Case of industrial facilities;
Escape and Evacuation Risk Analysis (EERA);
Fire and Explosion Risk Analysis ( FERA) – Developing studies for onshore team.
SCE Identification and Performance Standards Development ( Design and Operational);
Fire & Gas Detection Mapping.
Additional Scope may include:
Overview of the management of HSE
Providing Safety support to the Head of HSE within the Engineering Team.
Coordinating and develop all consequence and frequency and risk analysis work
Identifying, assessing and managing the HSE risks on the project
Supporting the implementation of mitigation measures by project engineers
Providing support in the management of Safety issues within the Exploration Project as required
Supporting the development of the Bowtie Analysis for the Major Hazard Assessment
Developing the Emergency Systems Survivability Analysis
Providing input into the ALARP demonstration
Supporting the development of the HSE Case for the Onshore Plant
Supporting Handover process to operations team for Onshore Plant Start-up
Supporting project as part of the verification by independent third party
