Position: HSE Coordinator

Section: Admin.

The HSE Coordinator will be responsible for providing guidance and direction for the operation of the safety management system, ISO 45001. The position requires the ability to cope with changing circumstances, legislation, and situations.

Prior Learning / Special Skills:

• Have an understanding of K&T and various clients’ Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies and procedures, and knowledge of the OHS Act and applicable regulations/legislation.
• Ensure continued certification and effectiveness of the ISO 45001 management
• Encourage participation and communication from employees to create and maintain a culture of HSE
• Assist top management on HSE
• Improve and review the ISO 45001 management system.
• Facilitate internal audits (ISO and Legal Compliance).
• Facilitate in the BSI ISO 45001 external
• Facilitate client audits and be available for client liaison on HSE Matters.
• Participate in HSE
• Capture incidents, accidents, and near misses on the system and ensure the close-out, including root cause analyses and correction or corrective
• Prepare and host educational training sessions on HSE-related
• Complete relevant monthly ISO
• Supplier Management on ACTIV cloud-based system.

Computer Literacy:

• Computer literacy (MS Office).

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF 4).
• Occupational Health Safety and Environmental Management Qualification (advantageous).
• HIRA – Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (advantageous).
• Incident Investigation (advantageous).

• Good communication
• Analytical.
• Organized.
• Approachable.
