  • Lead employees and contractors to achieve zero harm in EHS and Sustainability;
  • Lead Environment Health Safety and Sustainability program and establish new policies and procedures;
  • Manage and coach management to ensure compliance in all areas of EHS and Sustainability.

 Key Responsibilities: 

  • A key player in the Onshore department management team, the Manager has a functional reporting to the regional HSE Director and a day to day interface with the Onshore department COO;
  • Responsible for development of HSE and Sustainability plans and procedures for implementation during pre-FEED and FEED;
  • Ensure delivery of project HSE and sustainability objectives and targets;
  • Work with the project management team to embed HSE Cultural Framework across the project;
  • Lead incident investigations and audits in a timely and effective manner;
  • Direct a proactive safety and environmental program;
  • Improve the quality of safety and environmental management processes following established regulations, policies, standards, and practices;
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental programs;
  • Educate, train, and provide support to operations in the development and execution of consistent safety and environmental management programs;
  • Direct accident investigation programs, develop accident trends, and develop programs for improving performance.

 Who we are looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety management, industrial hygiene, or Sustainability and Social Sciences;
  • Minimum ten years of safety experience in Onshore Pre-FEED and FEED environment;
  • Minimum ten years of managing cross functional teams, and operating at a senior level;
  • Certified Safety Professional designation is desirable;
  • Minimum ten years of project management and financial budgeting;
  • Minimum ten years leading, designing, managing and evaluating social sustainable strategies & programs;
  • Strong knowledge of social and community issues such as education and training, First Nations cultural heritage, rural community economic development and health.
