About The Role

The Site Health & Safety Manager is responsible for the on-site health & safety of contractors and employees at client sites. Please be advised, this role will require very frequent travel UK wide and at times internationally with the requirement for long stints away from home so please ensure you are able to commit prior to applying.

What Will You Do?

  • Manage site construction and installation activities on client’s industrial premises
  • Ensure the safety on site for all including contractors and that ALL procedures & policies are followed and adhered to at all times
  • Contractor management competency checks
  • Provide all workers with a site induction pack and ensure site inductions has been carried out
  • Regular training as and when required for staff
  • Carry out regular checks on plant & equipment used on site along with frequent observations
  • Hold weekly H&S meetings, toolbox talks and daily briefings
  • Review RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
  • Issue Permit to Work documentation
  • Work closely with and liaise with colleagues across various disciplines, including Project Engineers
  • Maintain & provide reports

Do you have?

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (NGC)
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (NCC)
  • First Aid at Work Certificate
  • PASMA and IPAF Certificates
  • Previous experience in a health & safety management role / engineering consultancy within the manufacturing / industrial industry, ideally food / beverage or chemical
  • SMSTS – Site Manager Safety Training
  • IOSH Managing Safely training
  • CSCS card – Supervisory level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Design and delivery of H&S training
  • IT literate
  • Possess a relevant technical, or health & safety qualification to HNC or higher (ideal, although not essential)
  • Member of IOSH, minimum of TechIOSH
  • Car owner/driver
  • MUST be flexible to stay away from home regularly and travel UK wide and internationally
