We are currently seeking an experienced Workplace Health and Safety Officer to join our growing business. You will be responsible for developing and growing team culture, legislation compliance, appropriate WHS training and development while coordinating with Quality Assurance under IOS 9001:2015 to continue the development of safer and healthier ways within the workplace.
Ensure the business is compliant with relevant legislation and safety requirements.
Record and report hazards, accidents, injuries and health issues within the workplace.
Assist with investigations and recommend remedial actions.
Conduct training sessions for management, supervisors and workers about health and safety practices and legislation.
Conduct factory and site safety audits
Implement and monitor safety systems and programs.
Respond to employee’s and management safety concerns.
Maintain and update safety documentation, policies and procedures.
Provide support and advice to site operations
Manage Injury rehabilitation and return to work.
Assist with Quality and Environmental controls.
2 or more demonstrated experience as a Safety Officer.
Minimum Cert IV in WHS
Excellent communication skills
An ability to demonstrate professionalism and maintain confidentiality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Quality & Environmental experience beneficial
