Related position is responsible from develop and manage safety, quality systems and environmental activities at York Location.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Secure right resources and competences in the organization to support enhanced SHEQ work at York Site.
Take the overall responsibility for quality management system at York site , also support health & safety , environmental topics parallel to Metso Cooperate Organization and Policies.
Ensure we are working to prevent any injuries at work for all our employees in all sites/units.
Ensure that we work to continuously improve our environmental performance.
Secure that Sustainable reporting to BA takes place in all admin units.
Ensure correct data as well as corrective actions if Sustain indicators are out of target.
Manage sustainability topic for Metso York Sites and suppliers.
Develop and sustain York Quality Management System to ensure customer satisfaction and optimum internal processes.
Monitor cost for quality inconformity, as warranty, goodwill, etc., in the organization and push for the need of improvements.
Support and be involved in the work to continuously improve the BA internal communication.
Represent the York Site regarding topics related to SHEQ.
Coach the local managers and functional managers in their SHEQ development and management.
Establish quality related processes, responsibilities, policies and definitions.
Establish visibility and follow-up on non-conformances, root causes and quality costs.
Lead Lean Management implementation.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, Metso HSE requirements as well as customer specific requirements.
Follow the warranty process, ensure Metso units at York , follow the define policies.
Create monthly warranty reports, ensure Metso departments are performing corrective actions accordingly to ensure related problems not repeat again.

Manage and Lead ISO 9001 certification process and ensure Metso York satisfy the ISO 9001 system requirments.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s or College Degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent required;
Minimum of fifteen (5 ) years experience in Quality Functions especially Quality Management Systems.
Five (5) years experience in Mining and Construction heavy industries, or similar heavy industries.
Finance, human resources, business systems and IT infrastructure. Experience with SAP ERP environmental .
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Be willing to actively engage in problem solving opportunities.
A high level of computer skills is essential – Excel, Word and PowerPoint plus knowledge of Lotus Notes applications (specifically Lotus Notes e-mail application)
Familiarity with ISO standards or equivalent
Must be able to explain project Quality status to senior management of Metso.

Ability to read literature and listen to other employees.
