Job Details

Brunel are recruiting for experienced Onshore HSE Advisor’s to join our client Operations team based in Darwin. The successfulHSE Advisor will provide HSE guidance and support for the LNG OnshoreOperations Facilities. 9-month contract role working 40 hour per week. Pleasenote, Australian work rights are required to apply for this position. Open toDarwin locals only.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist HSE advice, guidance and support  to the LNG operations team;
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.  Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times;
  • Assist in the Development of HSE Systems, processes, plans and procedures that will support operational activities. Ensuring Operational HSE Support systems and processes are consistent and aligned with operational and corporate standards;
  • Assist LNG management team in the application of the  HSE systems and processes (i.e. Incident Hazard reporting, JHA, ASA, BBS, etc.) through application, review and improvement processes to drive HSE performance improvements;
  • Actively participate in HSE meetings, audits and initiatives as required;
  • Day to day monitoring, reporting and assurance activities;
  • Support evaluation, mobilization and monitoring of Operations Contractors and Vendors;
  • Maintain sound working understanding of plant process, layout, equipment configurations.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas Industry;
  • Experienced in facilitation and administration of core HSE risk management tools;
  • Previous experience in the development and roll out of HSEMS documentation and programs;
  • Experience within the HSE requirements of Contractor Management;
  • Strong interpersonal skills in influencing and teamwork;
  • Minimum Occupational Health and Safety  Diploma and / or tertiary qualification;
  • Degree qualification highly regarded (Cert IV considered);
  • Trained “Root Cause” investigator. Tap Root preferred;
  • Microsoft Suite, SAP (approvals, reports), appropriate operations Information Management Systems, mostly for reporting/monitoring.
