The International Network of Safety and Health Practitioner Organizations (INSHPO) will elect Dee Arp, the Chief Quality Officer for NEBOSH, as its president in 2025. Dee will concentrate on furthering the occupational safety and health (OSH) profession’s future, building on the outstanding efforts of 2024 President Nathan Winter.
Dee’s involvement with INSHPO started in 2020 when she was elected as the organization’s secretary-treasurer and NEBOSH representative. On January 1, 2023, she was elected vice president. Dee will prioritize research to find INSHPO membership gaps and look for new partners to join the organization during her time as president, with the ultimate goal of expanding the organization’s influence on a global scale.
Dee is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors and a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner of IOSH, having worked in occupational health and safety for more than 25 years. Her responsibilities at NEBOSH include overseeing the creation and evaluation of credentials and making sure that legal requirements are met. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Education, Dee’s academic credentials include a Certificate of Continuing Education from Cambridge University.
Dee’s motto demonstrates her dedication to the field: “Stronger together.” She thinks that the combined strength and mission of the OSH community save lives and keep people safe. The profession will surely be inspired and advanced by Dee’s leadership, carrying on the tradition of her forebears.
