An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Interim Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to join a food manufacturing business in Scotland at the beginning of the ‘production’ process. You will be maintaining safety and promoting a positive safety culture on multiple farms across Aberdeenshire and a few in Northern Perth. You will be responsible for engaging with the site teams and ensuring they adhere to policies and procedures and help promotes a positive safety culture.

You will need to be available within a week and this role should last for 3 months, paying circa £300 per day plus expenses (Accomodation & Van included).
The Role:
- Be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Health & Safety Management System for the site, satisfying group and local requirements for both the Feed Mill and Pig breading/rearing farms
- Actively monitor current and new legislation to ensure site compliance with Health & Safety Law
- Provide the Site Director and Senior Managers with clear advice on guidance on compliance
- Promote a proactive HSE culture across the farms and feed mill
- Upgrade and maintain a register of general and hazard specific systems (COSHH, Manual Handling etc.), Safe Systems of Work, and a schedule for the assessment/examination of work equipment and systems, and set up an audit management system to record and investigate findings
- Work in conjunction with HR to identify training needs and assist with organisation of it’s delivery
The Candidate:
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
- IEMA/NEBOSH Qualification in Environmental Management
- Experience/knowledge of Environmental permitting
- Specific training in assessment skills would be an advantage
- Experience/knowledge of ISO 14001 would be desirable
