The Pipeline Performance business unit focuses on protecting pipelines by using industry-leading technologies. It’s made up of four companies – Bredero Shaw, Canusa-CPS, Dhatec and Socotherm – who together offer full-service support for our customers’ projects. They offer Advanced coating technologies and logistics services for maximum protection and throughput.

 

As the HSE Technician, you will be responsible for providing support to the onsite HSE Supervisor and plant management team. This is an entry-level position requiring 1-2 years of experience in HSE related field. This is a full time, contract position, located in Fontana, CA.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend and facilitate Toolbox/DMP meeting
  • Facilitates and trains personnel
  • Performs monthly Safety Equipment Inspections
  • Inspects safety equipment and alerts maintenance when repairs can be conducted
  • Actively participates in Take 5 process with personnel
  • Working knowledge of the HSE Management System and ensure compliance with HSE Management System including waste management
  • Provides technical HSE support to personnel and management team
  • Documents incidents and performs incident investigations

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Some college coursework completed towards a degree in HSE is preferred
  • Minimum one year experience in HSE related field
  • Strong communication skills
