Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated HSE Supervisor with experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance within our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to HSE regulations, implement safety policies, and drive a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
– Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards.
– Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with GMP and industry best practices.
– Ensure proper waste disposal, hazardous material handling, and environmental protection measures.
– Train employees on occupational health and safety guidelines and promote a safe working culture.
– Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, providing reports and corrective action plans.
– Ensure PPE compliance and safety equipment maintenance across all operations.
– Liaise with regulatory bodies (NAFDAC, NESREA, and other relevant agencies) for compliance and certification.
– Lead emergency response drills and coordinate first-aid and firefighting preparedness.
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
– Minimum of 5 years of HSE experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
– Strong knowledge of GMP, OSHA, ISO 45001, and other safety standards.
– Experience in hazardous material management, industrial hygiene, and risk assessment.
– Certified in HSE Level 1, 2 & 3, NEBOSH, or equivalent qualifications (preferred).
– Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
