Our Client is an international logistic business, that helps companies maximize efficiency and reduce costs in their material and cargo handling operations. They require the service of a highly technical and experienced HSE Manager. You will manage all health, safety, environment, and sustainability functions in line with business policies, procedures, and standards.

Location – Ilupeju Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing the company’s ISO 45001:2018 occupational health and safety management systems throughout the business.
  • Responsible for the implementation of environmental management systems (EMS ISO 14001:2015).
  • Compile HSE Statistics and other data required for the management review and implement agreed actions focusing on continuous improvement of the OHSMS and EMS
  • Liaise and coordinate with Heads of Departments to ensure corporate and contractual HSE requirements are implemented, and targets are met.
  • Manage, organize, and execute process, accident/incident investigation, and systems audits throughout the business
  • Manage, organize, and execute the findings of risk assessments
  • Ensure adequate posting of safety signs/notices and circulars
  • Maintain metrics to monitor and close out audit findings
  • Develop and implement continuous improvements, customers-oriented solutions
  • Interact cross-functionally with the project and functional management to resolve health, safety, and environmental issues
  • Review technical requisitions and procurement documentation for quality, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification/Requirements

  • BSc /HND/M.Eng in Sciences or Engineering with at least 10 -15 years in HSE- Management in any top logistic or manufacturing company
  • Five (5) years in developing, and implementing safety, health, and environmental management systems to the requirement of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements/standards.
  • Three (5) years in developing, and implementing quality, safety, health,h and environmental management systems
  • HSE Level 1 – 3
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC)
  • ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems IRCA/PECB Approved Lead Auditor Certificate (LAC)
  • ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems IRCA/PECB Approved Lead Auditor Certificate (LAC)
  • Professional Membership with recognized safety institutions
  • ISO 9001 QMS IRCA/PECB Approved Lead Auditor Certificate (LAC) is an advantage
  • NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma or its equivalent is an added advantage
  • Highly Technical HSE Professional
  • Good Leadership skill

Mode of Work – Very Flexible

Monthly Salary Range – N700,000 – N900,000
