The HSE Coordinator is a dynamic position – responsibilities of this position will play a key role in the growth and maintenance of the NES Global Talent / Sure Flow Safety Management System.

  • Manage and create client position profiles in safety compliance database
  • Provide assistance to recruiting personnel with high level tracking of placement workers training and certifications
  • Maintain all the contractor online contractor databases  ex: ISNetworld, Comply Works, Avetta
  • Manage the annual COR audit process and implement all related system processes and corrections across the 2 locations
  • Manage and maintain the safety management system including safety manual policies and procedures.  This will include re-vamping policies and procedures to comply with OH&S Staffing Firm legislation
  • Compile & maintain safety statistics as required
  • Perform and or assist in incident investigations as required
  • Manage all WCB claims as required
  • Create Health and Safety training programs in power point or our LMS system as required
  • Provide guidance and support to all staff for any Health and Safety questions and issues
  • Perform field visits for new hires or terminations as required
  • Develop, organize and implement the monthly office safety meetings
  • Be willing to attend client meetings throughout Alberta as required
  • Develop and present on Health & Safety topics as required
  • Design safety forms in excel or word as required


  • Minimum NCSO with OH&S diploma or CRSP preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of managing a company safety management system with prior field level safety experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Prior experience managing WCB claims
  • Must be competent with computers, software and web applications
  • Must be very competent and have prior experience working with ISN, ComplyWorks & Avetta
  • Knowledge of the staffing industry and the OH&S guidelines for staffing firms would be considered a strong asset
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision and must be self-motivated
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Oil & Gas industry experience highly preferred
