About the position – HSE Advisor Job With KRSP Pty Ltd
Being part of the Operational Team, our Health, Safety & Environment Advisor is responsible for providing advice and support to the Supervisory Team, workshop and infield team on all aspects related to conducting activities in a safe and environmentally effective manner, compliant with all relevant legislation.
The HSE Advisor also provides support and assistance to the HSEQ Manager and the wider management team.
Key responsibilities of the role (but not limited to):
- Undertakes new employee inductions both in the Broome office and in the field for regional based staff.
- Provides feedback to the HSEQ Manager and HR Manager on improvements to the induction process.
- Leads the investigation into any accidents, incidents, hazards and near misses in conjunction with the HSEQ Manager and work closely with the Supervisory team to implement corrective actions as required.
- Ensures all reporting and incident investigations are completed within the KRSP safety management system.
- Attends all safety meetings, record outcomes and follow up on assigned actions.
- Ensures inspections of depots, equipment and safe work practices are carried out according to the agreed schedule
- Monitors and reviews KRSP’s compliance with KRSP Policies and Procedures, legislation codes of practice and standards related to its operations and feed back to relevant stakeholders
- Promotes and encourages a proactive safety culture in the workplace.
- In association with the HSEQ Manager, HR Manager and relevant supervisors, monitors and reviews compliance with the training needs and obligations of all KRSP employees and develops and facilitates training where required.
- Manages return to work programmes as required.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A minimum Occupational Health and Safety Certificate IV qualification and Senior First Aid Certificate
- Great written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to engage with all levels of staff
- Experience with Injury management coordination, Implementation of HSE policies and procedures and Incident investigation
- Experience conducting HSE site inspections and work practice review
- A background in conducting gap analysis and facilitating HSE training
- Have full and unrestricted Australian work rights *no sponsorship is available*
