HSE Advisor Job in Cumbria, England
The HSE Advisor will be responsible for the provision of timely advice and guidance on all matters about Health, Safety, and the Environment concerning Legislation, Company policies, and Client requirements.
Support a team of Advisors to assist in the delivery of HSE strategy.
Provide visibility and interface of the HSE function. Work in collaboration with other members of the team and the wider business to facilitate high-performance delivery through successful implementation of processes and systems, in a sustainable manner.
Contribute to the development of the HSE Assurance Plan to deliver high-risk audits across the area or Division of responsibility; provide advice and recommendations for improvement.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise and assist site management in the preparation of Safety & Environmental Plans, Risk Assessments, and method statements for various projects in line with client SLAs / KPIs.
- Work with on-site management in the development, delivery, implementation, and maintenance of business-specific HSE policies and procedures
- Prepare safety and environmental reports as required
- Conduct safety and environmental audits and inspections by the Integrated Management system
- Prepare and deliver training courses/toolbox talks to ensure full knowledge of H&S requirements and techniques
QUALIFICATIONS
- NEBOSH Health & Safety Diploma desirable
- Health & Safety Certificate
- NEBOSH Environmental Certificate
- Graduate member or Technical Member of IOSH as a minimum
