Worley is seeking a hard-working, dedicated and focused Health, Safety and Environmental professional to join our team. The position plays a critical role in promoting a positive safety culture as well as developing, implementing and administering effective health, safety and environmental programs at the facility.
HSE professional focused on promoting and supporting an HSE culture from within by leading the implementation of core HSE programs, policies, and initiatives
Leads HSE incident investigations and reports, as needed; may accompany an injured employee for treatment and medical evaluation
Advises on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery, environmental and occupational diseases
Assists with case management and/or following up on occupational injuries/illnesses
Implements changes to working practices that reduce risk and comply with legislation
Coaches with respect to JSAs, at-risk activities, unsafe conditions, and safety improvement opportunities
Provide immediate response to the different types of emergencies at the site, to include fires, gas releases, spills to land and water, rescue and medical calls, etc. Response during off-hours may be required
Function as Subject Matter Expert for Emergency Orders, Work Procedures, Safety Orders and Standard Operating Procedures, which include reviewing the procedures, providing interpretations, and may include developing and delivering Emergency Response training
Maintain emergency response facilities and all emergency response equipment (Mobile and Fixed) to ensure equipment is available and ready to respond to emergencies
Serve as the HSE Field Department fixed fire water system owner, including coordinating and communicating fire water isolations and preparing Permit to Work for repairs.
Conduct Annual inspections on Fire Extinguishers and other regular maintenance as required
Environnemental management ; SWPPP, RCRA, SPCC, etc.
Proficient in applicable software applications including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Subject matter expert in the following functional HSE programs preferred:
Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) ;
Management of Change (MOC) Process;
Incident Investigation and Reporting ;
Root Cause Analysis ;
Behavior-Based Safety (BBS);
Job Safety Analysis (JSA) ;
Facilities and equipment (plant site) HSE Audits;
Industrial Hygiene monitoring; and
Risk Assessment (Hazard Identification [HAZID] or Hazard Operability [HAZOP] studies.
What you will bring
Required Technical and Industry Experience:
Minimum of five years of related HSE experience
BA/BS degree in related field
In depth knowledge of Federal, State, and Local HSE regulations, i.e. OSHA, BSEE, SEMS, TCEQ, EPA etc.
Ability to develop and implement HSE policies and procedures
Possess thorough knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted internal business processes and procedures
Ability to identify deviations from standards
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills related to functional areas and understanding impact to the overall business
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Degree in Environmental, Safety or Related Field
