Job Specification

Dril-Quip (Europe) Limited are currently recruiting for an HSE Advisor to join the team in Dyce, Aberdeen on a permanent basis.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively advising on the promotion of a positive HSE culture
  • Advising DQE management on procedures to ensure that the DQE offices, workshops, premises and all other facilities operated by DQE comply with the policies and legal requirements
  • Advising managers and supervisors on any HSE issues
  • Liaising with the relevant authorities on all matters pertaining to health, safety and the environment
  • Maintaining Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) including:
    • Maintenance of the HSE portal
    • Continuously monitor, review and improve the OHSMS / EMS
    • Review OHSMS / EMS documents in line with review schedule
  • Investigate incidents and analyse trends as required as well as providing recommendations and corrective actions where required
  • Liaising with managers, supervisors and external agencies regarding OH&S training and course content and delivering HSE training as determined
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of in-house HSE training
  • Maintaining databases and collating consultation documentation for documents contained within the OHSMS / EMS
  • Conducting internal audits, site inspections, risk assessments and work procedures
  • Attending client, company and external audits as required
  • Collating documented evidence for close out of actions on investigation reports, CPAR’s and internal and external audits

Qualifications and Skills

  • NEBOSH Certificate or relevant experience
  • IOSH Membership is preferred
  • IRCA approved audit qualification is preferred
  • Substantial experience within an HSE Coordinator or Advisor role
  • Training delivery skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
