Brief Posting Description
We are currently sourcing a HSE Advisor to join our team in Aktau. At this time, we will only consider applications from Kazakhstan citizens.
Liaise with contractor HSE and support site safety activities for the project/client/customer.
Support with Safety Task Planning with project scope of work.
Support Site, Equipment and PPE Inspections; take Pro-Active Measures to eliminate potential safety hazards.
Conduct safety meetings, orientations along with training to assure employees understand the hazards associated with scope of work to MAC employees and visitors.
Ensure Emergency Response capabilities are solidified and maintained.
Maintain HSE records and associated documentation.
Responsible for safety administration, risk management and controlling issues that may impact project safety.
Work closely with site Contractor HSE and ER systems, ensuring Lock Out Tag Out, Fire Protection, Confined Space Entry, Electrical Safety, Scaffolding, Cranes & Rigging, Hazard Communication, Excavations are to contractor procedures and in line with Wood Standards.
Maintain communications with Fabrication yard Manager with project status/issues.
Conduct Incident Investigations & Root Cause Analysis, Support contactor HSE teams.
Ensure safe work procedures are being followed in respect to OSHA and Client/Company Policy along with applicable regulatory and laws in Kazakhstan.
Assist the contractor HSE in day to day safety matters on the project which may include medical and security issues.
Ensure all reporting is done in a timely response and report back to the Corporate HSE manager.
Perform other duties and tasks as requested in regards to supporting the project by the Fabrication yard manager.
Must have 5 years’ extensive previous experience in HSE sphere
Knowledge of oil and gas industry practices
Good knowledge of ROK legislation in respect to HSE
A strong commitment to high quality customer service and commitment to continuous improvement
Knowledge of Client HES and IIF systems is preferred
Good analytical and reporting skills
Engineering Technology and/or relevant work experience in a Safety Management capacity
Candidates must have in depth knowledge of Kazakhstan Safety Regulations along with knowledge of Kazakhstan Guidelines.
Candidates must be able to provide proof of HES training capabilities.
Candidate must have strong knowledge of safety protocols for general industry and new construction projects.
Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan security protocols is also required.
Primary functions will include safe work procedures for working in RIE.
