Role Summary:
The Executive, Health & Safety Programs will provide strategic direction to establish, deliver, and maintain the procedures, guidance and tools necessary to enable GE Healthcare to deliver world-class H&S performance. Reporting to the Executive EHS, they’ll lead a team of subject matter experts to provide operational support, identify and address opportunities to make the necessary improvement, and promote a positive EHS culture across GEHC as it moves towards becoming a standalone business.
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction for the organization and lead transfer-of-work activities required to effectively transition from GE Corporate EHS processes and enable a standalone GE Healthcare;
  • Promote a positive EHS culture at all levels of the organization by providing leadership and technical expertise for H&S Programs;
  • Lead a global team of H&S professionals to set standards, manage risk, and provide support to site and service operations.
  • Own Health & Safety programs and standards; Revising documents as needed to reflect business needs and changes in applications;
  • Own H&S applicable EHS Framework sub-elements, libraries and supporting web pages.
  • Establish and maintain professional network/participation with standards organizations;
  • Partner with Leadership and EHS functions to drive EHS culture and compliance; validate compliance through the Business Level Auditing process
  • Monitor relevant standards and regulatory intelligence to determine impact on H&S
  • Define and establish customer base and implement mechanisms for communication
  • Collaborate with Governance, Environmental, P&L and Services partners to provide or improve procedures, guidance and tools; Focus on improvements to digitalize or otherwise simplify program execution
  • Participate with relevant organizations to provide input on, and stay current on status of, radiation protection standards and recommendations; Monitor legislative/regulatory developments and respond in the interests of business partners
  • Execute to projects and priorities as defined


1. Bachelor’s Degree in EHS related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of EHS experience

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience working with both site and service organizations globally
3. Ability to engage effectively with external stakeholders, including investors and customers, on our overall EHS and Sustainability program
4. Excellent communications skills, including writing and speaking
5. Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate and lead teams, drive change and interact cross functionally
6. Ability to manage multiple diverse priorities effectively
7. Demonstrated experience with H&S regulations and program management
8. Ability to travel domestically and internationally (35% travel)
9. Ability to communicate using English
