Health & Safety Manager – Midland, TX
Work as Health and Safety Manager on the Midland WPCP project while having a hand in transforming tomorrow.
Supports implementation of HS&E program and occupational safety and health regulations on the Midland WPCP project.
Conducts reviews of potential risks on project and identifies potential mitigation measures.
Oversees the implementation of the project Health and Safety Action Plan (HASAP).
Ensures safety planning (Task Hazard Analysis, Daily Pre-Task Planning) is being conducted and documented, and reviews them for quality and completeness.
Conducts audits and reviews of project/program.
Assists in investigation of incidents and complaints concerning HSE risks on the project/program.
Maintains working knowledge of specific requirements imposed by governmental agencies and Jacob’s policies and procedures.
Provides regulatory and policy review and interpretation and technical advice.
Recommends improvements to HS&E tools, processes, policies, and training. Works under general supervision.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 5 years of industrial construction experience.
Onsite supervision of contractor construction activities, scheduling, planning.
Team player with strong interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent auditing and training skills
General knowledge of Federal and State
Basic computer skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in HSE related field
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification
