Due to our rapid growth, we are currently seeking a qualified permanent full time HSE Coordinator to join our Health, Safety & Environment team. The ability to interact with staff in a fast paced environment, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.

Detailed Duties Include

Site audits, visits and related documentation.
Site walk through, including facilitating tool box talks.

Ergonomic assessments.

Conduct training as requested.

HSE onboarding of new hires.

Creation of Safety moments.

Review and data entry into related software systems (ISNetworld, Avetta & Pics).

Assist with review of Proposal & Contracts from an HSE perspective.

Assist with completing hazard assessments, including Job Safety Analysis Reviews.

Assist with document review and generation.
Assist with moderation of events based on the Root Cause Analysis Process.

Act as the HSE contact if HSE Manager is absent.

The successful candidate should have the minimum qualifications and skills:

A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role is required, preferably within in the Oil & Gas, Pipeline or Pipeline Inspection industry.

Post-secondary education in the area of Health, Safety and Environment is required.

Proven knowledge and understanding of Canadian and provincial Occupational Health & Safety regulations and codes.

Additional HSE related certifications and/or courses are an asset.

Superior written and verbal English communication skills are required.

Ability to travel (domestic and international) as required.

Ability to be proactive as well as trouble shoot and resolve issues as they occur.

PC literacy with MS office.

Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.

Demonstrated positive Health & Safety, and Environment attitude.

Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities and changes with professionalism.

Ability to apply Management of Change (lessons learned) as well as to train others.

Ability to implement, follow and interpret related company policy and procedures.

Work independently, as well as within a team, in a fast paced, customer service driven team environment.
