You can play a part in that. MPI has an internal Safety and Wellbeing Group. We are looking for Health & Safety Site Leads to join our operational teams working across the country. There are four fixed term roles available based in either Invercargill, Oamaru, Ashburton or Cambridge throgh until the end of June 2019.
While we are doing really well in the safety space that doesn’t mean there is nothing left to be done. We are determined to lead the Sector and demonstrate excellence in this area. All we can promise is hard work but it will be incredibly interesting and there is the opportunity for you to make a sustainable difference.
The Health and Safety Site Leads will be responsible for supporting health and safety at a number of field based operations across the country. This may include:
- Risk management
- Incident investigations
- Developing and supporting safety plans
- Site audits & inspections
- Point of contact for all health and safety queries
- Hazardous substance management
- Contractor management and liaison

In addition, you may have experience in the following areas:
- Health, Safety and Wellbeing
- Procedure drafting
- Safety observation assessments
- Site work with multiple PCBUs
- Fatigue and stress management
