We are currently seeking to appoint a high calibre leader to the role of Group Head of Health and Safety. Reporting to the Executive General Manager – People and Culture, this rewarding role will develop and execute strategic health and safety objectives in line with the IRT Group strategy and business plan.
Whilst working within a rapidly evolving business, the Group Head of Health and Safety will:
Develop, and execute a H&S strategy, annual plans, systems, policies and practices to ensure a benchmark safety and wellness culture and work environment.
Identify best practice and lead continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe systems of work.
Integrate Health and Safety into all discussions, activities and tasks undertaken at IRT, ensuring an optimum level of service to employees, volunteers, contractors, clients and residents.
Analyse and report on H&S performance and design and implement initiatives to improve the safety of the work environment.
To ensure oversee the effective management of injured workers.
To be Successful: You will have a tertiary qualification with a strong emphasis on Work Health & Safety and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Extensive experience within a Work, Health and Safety or generalist environment as well as a strong ability to identify and analyse risks is essential for this role. You will be self-motivated and have excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
