Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions has an outstanding key leadership opportunity with our Houston, TX team. This individual will lead the growth of our environmental impact assessment and permitting business in the Gulf Coast area, based in our Houston, Texas office. Key markets targeted for growth include Oil and Gas (upstream, midstream, and downstream), Power (generation and transmission/distribution), and other growth markets.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Key responsibilities include development and implementation of an overall strategy and plan to expand our environmental impact assessment and permitting business in these market sectors in this region, business development, project management, and team leadership
  • Typical services provided include FERC Certification, NEPA compliance, USACOE permitting, Endangered Species Act compliance, National Historic Preservation Act compliance, and other similar Federal, State, and local permitting and compliance. Hiring of additional key staff is also an important responsibility.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree required
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience
  • Technical background and experience in key practice areas involved in this business; Examples include biological resources, water resources, and other major disciplines involved in this type of work
  • Experience in managing large and complex projects is important, as is experience in leading and managing teams
  • Experience in completing business development with key clients is critical, including establishing and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying and positioning for key opportunities, and leading proposals and presentations
  • Must pass drug test, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (MVR) policy
