We are currently looking to recruit an EHS Manager to work within our Coating Services business covering both our Daventry and Wednesbury sites. Within this role you will ensure compliance with all relevant UK Health and Safety Regulations and PPG EHS requirements in order to provide a safe and healthy workplace for employees, and visitors whilst showing consideration for the local environment.
Key Responsibilities within this role will include:-
  • Implementing the EHS policy and PPG Management system in order to promote awareness, compliance and responsibilities of all employees.
  • Ensuring alignment of documentation, policies and procedures with both PPG Requirements and Local Regulatory legislation.
  • Practicing safe working techniques and re-enforcing the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures as set out by PPG.
  • Providing daily guidance and direction in EHS programs at the employee / supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach.
  • Maintaining the system of recording EHS data and provide statistical information to the Site EHSLT and draw attention to significant trends and occurrences.
  • Developing a range of communication medium, deliver training to ensure that all employees are kept up to date with site and global EHS matters.
  • Preparation for both internal and external audits.
  • Carrying out internal audits and feedback information to line managers to promote a proactive reporting system.
  • Promoting sustainability awareness and identify cost saving projects.
  • Developing programs and guidance that target and support risk reduction, and improve the EHS performances (Leading/Lagging indicators), managing consulting support, interacting effectively with regulatory agencies.
  • Travelling to sites including both corporate and operational offices as required and perform any additional duties as required.


To be successful in this role you will:-
  • Hold a NEBOSH Diploma or the equivalent safety qualifications
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of environmental control principles, safety and health processes along with a broad understanding of PPG business requirements.
  • You will understand regulatory environmental requirements with the ability to influence senior management or regulatory officials.
  • A strong communicator, you must possess the ability to build both trust and positive working relationships.
