I will give three (3) major reasons why you must wear seat belt.
Seat belt is a personal restraint system fixed in cars, trucks and other equipment to ensure the safety of the driver and passengers in a vehicle at any point in time.
Seat belt has saved a lot of lives.

Here are the major reasons why you must wear seat belt:
- It helps restrain the user to his/her seat in case of collision. Occupant of a vehicle most often are thrown out from the vehicle, could hit their chest on the steering, or make contact with the airbag. In any of this situation, the occupant of the vehicle may lose their live. This is one important reason you must always wear seat belt.
- To prevent being a hazard to other occupant of the vehicle. For instance, a passenger sitting directly behind the driver of a saloon car could be thrown onto the driver’s neck if the car get involved in head to head collision, breaking the driver in the process.
- It is one of the road safety regulations. When you use your seat belt, you are obeying the road safety regulations.
Note: Defaulters of the road safety regulations are punishable by law.
